China-UK Consortium for Medical Integration, Research and Collaboration

Closer Link with China in Medicine, Research and Integration
Since the “Sino-European Conference on TCM” held in Rome in June 2007, hosted by the Italian Ministry of Health and the Chinese Ministry of Science & Technology, with the participation of the EU Commission and various European government representatives, over two hundred medical experts at the meeting pronounced that the post-genome era of medical integration is upon us. International collaboration between countries is an urgent necessity, because new infectious diseases threaten world economy.
This has prompted the formation of the China-UK Consortium for medical integration, research and collaboration, established on 18th August 2007 in London. This consortium is to co-ordinate research projects led by institutions within the UK, and to develop further collaborations with China.
Activities of the CUC will benefit medical development by increasing academic and economic ties with China. The CUC aims to engender mutual understanding and co-development in the medical fields between UK and China.

“英中医药合作联盟”成立通告
以医学综合、研究及合作为宗旨的英中医药合作联盟(China-UK Consortium for Medical Integration, Research and Collaboration,简称CUC)，于2007年8月18日在伦敦亚美迪医药中心召开了成立会议，并正式宣布成立。
联盟成员除包括欧洲及中国的合作伙伴外，还包涵有英国顶尖的学术及研究与发展机构。联盟旨在为英中两国间的医学研究与合作发展并建立紧密关系。并将致力于在互利的基础上为国际间医学的合作和交流做出贡献。
为此，联盟希望与具有共同追求和使命的机构建立联系以谋求未来的共同发展。
