Aims


  • Promote integrity and excellence in the professional practice of Chinese medicine and acupuncture
  • Ensure that the wellbeing of the public is protected
  • Create a network of institutions of the highest standard for research and development
  • Enhance the competitiveness and evaluation of health benefits derived from Chinese medicine based products through clinical trials and research

Functions


  • Organise educational programmes of the highest standard for medical and healthcare professionals on Chinese medicine, acupuncture and integrative medicine
  • Maintain a register of qualified practitioners in Chinese medicine and acupuncture
  • Organise academic activities, conferences and events, which provide a platform for East-West medical exchange
  • Assist governmental and institutional regulative process in Chinese medicine and acupuncture in particularly, and integrative medicine in general
  • Inform the general public on various issues relating to Chinese medicine, acupuncture and integrative medicine, including safety and clinical updates
  • Coordinate research and clinical development in Chinese medicine, acupuncture and integrative medicine
