Why Choose a CMIR Practitioner?

Why Choose a CMIR Practitioner?

All accredited CMIR practitioners are qualified doctors and healthcare professionals. There are three different categories of accredited membership depending on the level of training a practitioner has completed. Accredited members have completed a degree or diploma in Chinese medicine and acupuncture from a recognised professional training institution, such as the CMIR Postgraduate Diploma in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Specialist accredited members have completed two years of additional training in the fields of raw Chinese herbal medicine and Chinese cosmetology with CMIR. Chinese medicine physicians (CMP) are graduates of Chinese medicine from Chinese medical universities in China. Click here to find out more about CMIR membership categories

All accredited members are required to undertake at least 54 hours of continuing professional development (CPD) courses every three years to maintain their accreditation. At least 18 hours of this must be spent attending clinical and practical sessions with CMIR.
